Core Athletics is a professional sports management company that develops and oversees baseball instruction, teams and leagues in Concord, NC and surrounding areas. With 20 years in business, we at Core are grateful for the many lives we've impacted over the years. We continually strive to offer quality baseball instruction and playing opportunities for the youngest t-ball player all the way up to the collegiate athlete.
Whether your goal is to pitch for your little league team or earn a college scholarship, Core Athletics has the training knowledge to take you to that next level. Our goal is to teach players proper bio-mechanics to maximize their core strength and raise their performance level. Our techniques and innovative drills are tailored to meet the skill level and learning style of each individual student-athlete.

Core Athletics mission is to fully develop the CORE of athletes; physically, mentally, and spiritually through athletic and educational programs. The staff desires to utilize their own gifts, talents, and experiences to help athletes reach their full potential.

Core Field behind the Old Armory at 124 Church Street in Concord, NC 28025.
We have been in business for over 20 years and for 15 years, we were located inside the Old Armory in downtown Concord.
Core Athletics Youth Association
Core Athletics Youth Association is a non-profit 501(C)-(3) organization, providing competitive and recreation athletic programs for players between the ages of 4 and 22. We develop teams that are focused on the goal of building future leaders through lessons in athletics. Our teams range from college summer league (SCBL-Concord Athletics) to competitive Showcase events and youth leagues. This past year we had over 500 youth participants throughout our various programs. Our sponsorship program gives businesses and individuals the opportunity to support a young athlete with necessary skill development to reach their goals. Your support is very much appreciated and will allow us to continue to provide a superior program.

"As a former professional pitcher within the Detroit Tiger and Cleveland Indians organizations and having instructed youth of all ages for over 20 years, I am very proud of the vision we have set forth for Core Athletics. Our vision is that "we will provide our student-athletes with the necessary tools and techniques to reach their baseball goals in a family-friendly environment."
Having suffered a career ending injury and spending a good deal of time doing rehabilitation work, I know how critical it is that proper mechanics are taught at an early age. This not only increases success, but more importantly, helps prevent injury. So not only do I strive to help players grow in their baseball knowledge and skills, I strive to help them do so safely and in the right progression.
Some of the most important life lessons that I've learned have happened on and around the baseball field - whether through coaches, teammates, the triumphs, the challenges. Baseball, and sports in general, can really help a young person develop life skills that will carry them well into adulthood. As a parent myself, I highly value the character development that comes from playing baseball and I love seeing the growth that student-athletes make in this crucial area.
